Aratinga Tours specializes in organizing birding tours in Costa Rica and is run by Belgian biologist Pieter Westra, who has been birdwatching in Costa Rica since he was a little boy. Pieter started travelling to Costa Rica at the age of 14 and fell in love with it’s overwhelming natural beauty and with the birds of Costa Rica in particular.
In 2002 Pieter decided to move to Costa Rica, and in 2004 founded Aratinga Tours. Pieter loves to share his passion and knowledge about the country and its spectacular avifauna.
